We are looking for a developer to join Gretel Analytics in cofounder capacity.

We are an IoT / SaaS model startup. You’d be joining existing founders, one technical (CTO) and one non technical (CEO).

About the system
Hardware sends positional data to our servers, which analyses and reveals analytics about the data. Our servers consist of many microservices, such as an API and a service to analyse data, as well as several frontends such as an analytics dashboard and an internal dashboard for setting up venues.

What we are seeking
Ideally we are after a full stack developer, who is familiar with the technologies we use listed below, although a frontend or backend developer could work. Ideally you would know Typescript, however a Javascript developer would also work. We would also be willing to accept the right person even if they do not know these programming languages.

Other skills

Soft skills! We’re looking for someone who is switched on socially and can think on their feet. At this stage of our growth, we meet our customers in demo and negotiation scenarios regularly, and would like to find someone, yes, with technical skills, but just as importantly, with people skills.

Things to consider

We have been doing demos for enterprise customers, and have quotes to install with these customers currently. We are full time, pre-revenue, and have been bootstrapping to date (no investment). We would like to find a cofounder to join us as we gain traction in the marketplace.

We are based in Tasmania, and ideally would like our new team member to join us here at least for a period while getting established in new role. We understand that if you qualify for the above requirements, that you’re probably based in Melb or Syd, but hey, down here in Tas, the air is fresh, the rent low, the local produce is world class. We’d consider an initial stint with us locally, then moving to remote work after. We spend a fair bit of time in other states doing demos atm, so location is not essential for the right person, and anticipate moving core operations to Melb as required in the next 5 yrs.
